Tanzania Photography Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to the wonders of Tanzania
Day 2-3: Tarangire: Elephants, Baobabs and Flamingoes
After a leisurely breakfast, you will begin your journey with your guide to Tarangire National Park. You will drive southwest, through rural Tanzania, until you reach the park gate, where your game drive begins, exploring the riches of the park. From here you can explore the colossal baobabs, grassy plains and vast herds of elephant among the unique landscapes of Tarangire National Park. There are also large herds of buffalo, and healthy populations of lion and leopard.
During the dry season, Tarangire has the highest concentration of mammals in the country, and more than 550 species of birds to spot throughout the year. Our knowledgeable safari guides will lead you on game drives and educational walking safaris to see the park at a slower pace. For a completely different perspective, an unforgettable early morning hot-air balloon safari over the plains gives you the chance to soar silently over the wildlife. Overnight at 2
Day 4-6: Explore the Ngorongoro Crater and Spectacular Wildlife.
After a delicious breakfast surrounded by the early morning sounds of the bush, you will game drive out of the park and onward to the Camp in the Ngorongoro Conservation, here, you’ll find eight unique geodesic domed suites with breathtaking views of distant volcanic mountains. Each suite has an en suite bathroom with hot running water, double showers, and flushing toilets.
Venture out on a game drive into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in a comfortable seven-seater vehicle with pop-up rooftops, onboard power points, and fridges. You can also hike to Olmoti and Empakaai Craters or visit a nearby Maasai village where you can join herders as they return their cattle to their boma for the night. Overnight at 2
Day 6-9: Experience Central Serengeti’s
Depart this morning for drive to Serengeti central pass Olduvai George for short brief, continue to drive to Serengeti with a game of rout head to the camp for dinner and overnight. Here, meets with our ground that they will take care of you during your stay at the lodge and the nature which offers a unique opportunity to experience the Great Migration in certain months. The camp is in a prime location from where you can witness thousands of wildebeests around the camp and the big number of cats that take the life of the wildebeest and zebra. Overnight at 3
Day 9-12: Experience Northen Serengeti’s
Depart this morning for the airstrip, three hours’ drive away, before catching your light aircraft flight to the northern Serengeti. Here, meets your guide which offers a unique opportunity to experience the Great Migration in certain months. The camp is in a prime location from where you can witness thousands of wildebeests leaping and splashing across the crocodile-infested Mara River, as well as explore further afield to seek out the abundant resident wildlife.
Indulge in a rejuvenating deep tissue massage followed by a sensational safari, viewing the big cats, zebra, gazelle and even the rare black rhino. The camp has two Retreats, offering an exclusive experience for families and groups. Overnight at 3
Day 13: Final Serengeti Moments
As you observe distant elephant, zebra, and wildebeest strolling past the camp, relish a final delicious breakfast before your guide takes you to the airstrip to catch your flight to Kilimanjaro. This airport will be your final stop in the local area before heading back home with unforgettable memories.
