Embark on this thrilling safari adventure through Kenya, from the vibrant city of Nairobi to the wild landscapes of Ol Pejeta, the Masai Mara, and Naboisho Conservancy.
Start your voyage in Nairobi, where you can explore the city’s culture and history and recover from your international flights. Then head to Ol Pejeta, a wildlife sanctuary basking in the shadows of Mount Kenya, where you can meet the last two northern white rhinos on the planet. Enjoy game drives, night safaris, walking safaris.
Travel onward to the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s most famous safari destinations, and understandably so. Stay at Rekero Camp, located on the banks of the Talek River, in the heart of the reserve, a perfect base for seeking out the big cats, giraffe, elephant and other species that call this place home. In August and September, the Great Migration herds should be located in the reserve, and Rekero overlooks one of the rivers crossing points, offering spectacular scenes without leaving the camp.
End your travels at the luxurious Naboisho Camp, in the nearby Naboisho Conservancy which borders the Masai Mara. Explore the valleys, plains and woodlands with an expert guide on day and night safaris, walking safaris, and cultural visits to the local Maasai community. The conservancy has a limit to the number of camps and vehicles, allowing an unspoilt and exclusive safari experience.

Day 1: Nairobi: A Gateway to Kenya’s Wildlife Wonders
- We will meet you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), Nairobi and welcome you to Kenya.
- Transfer to your hotel
- Overnight in Nairobi
You will be welcomed off your flight at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transferred to your Nairobi hotel for your overnight stay before getting out and about on your safari excursions. Take this opportunity to relax, recoup and recover from your flight. If time permits, we can arrange a visit to the Giraffe Centre or a game drive in Nairobi National Park. The city also offers a wide range of restaurants and craft shops to explore.
Day 2-3: Ol Pejeta: Conservation, Comfort, and Charm
- Drive to Laikipia
- Overnight at Ol Pejeta Bush Camp
After a restful sleep and a delicious breakfast, your guide will drive for approximately five hours through flower farms and vibrant market towns. A delightful lunch will await you once you reach the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in the central Laikipia region. The dramatic and iconic snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya overlook this magnificent wildlife conservancy.
At Ol Pejeta Bush Camp, you can enjoy game drives in search of lion, buffalo, elephant, white rhino, and black rhino, and night drives add a whole new layer of excitement to your adventures. You will also visit the enclosure for endangered species and meet the world’s last two remaining northern white rhinos. The rangers will brief you on the remarkable work being done to save the species from extinction and protect other species here.
Ol Pejeta has eight tents, one of which is designed for families. All tents have an en suite bathroom, flushing toilets and hot running water. After an exciting day’s adventure, as the evening approaches, you can join us all around the fireplace and relax with a cold drink while listening to the lion in the conservancy roar into the distance.
Day 4-5: Experience the Great Migration at Rekero

After a delightful breakfast, you will be transferred to the local airstrip for a flight to Rekero Camp in the Masai Mara National Reserve. Once you arrive, an Asilia guide will take you to Rekero Camp, perched above the Talek River, offering stunning vistas of a prime Great Migration crossing point. This charming camp is ideally located to enjoy the Masai Mara’s diverse wildlife year-round. It comprises nine classic and spacious safari tents overlooking the river, including two family tents. Each tent offers an en suite bathroom, flushing toilet, and hot-water shower.
During the day, watch the hippos splashing in the river from the lounge and deck. Twice-daily game drives are available, with an in-camp or a picnic breakfast to savour in the bush. To add variety to your experiences, an early morning hot-air balloon can be arranged at an additional cost. Witnessing the breathtaking wildlife from above is an unforgettable adventure.
Relish in a siesta after lunch, read a book, relax, and soak in the views from your tent or the camp’s deck area. Later, refuel with afternoon tea and cake before departing for an exciting afternoon drive accompanied by a selection of sundowner drinks. Upon returning, unwind around the campfire for pre-dinner drinks and a delicious meal.
Day 6-8: Naboisho Camp: Where Nature Meets Comfort
- Transfer to the Naboisho Conservancy
- Overnight at Naboisho Camp
Wake up to the morning call of birds and the talkative snorts, barks and brays of the neighbourhood zebra. Enjoy one final delicious breakfast on the deck, overlooking the Talek River before you bid farewell to the team.
Your game drive transfer will take you to Naboisho Camp in the nearby Mara Naboisho Conservancy. Learn from your guide about the unique conservation model of the conservancies, where wildlife and local communities have found a balance to exist in harmony. Naboisho offers exceptional game viewing opportunities as well as a wide variety of activities, including walking safaris and visits to one of the Maasai communities and one of Asilia’s partners, the Maa Trust.
A luxurious boutique camp refurbished in 2023, Naboisho offers nine spacious and stylish tents featuring king-size or twin beds, large en suite bathrooms, indoor and outdoor hot showers and flushing toilets. All tents feature a private veranda from which you can relax, enjoy hot beverages early in the morning, and soak in the tranquil savannah views. It is a beautiful camp environment for avid wildlife enthusiasts. Along with cheetah, elephant, and giraffe, the area boasts one of Africa’s highest concentrations of lion.
Day 9: Bid Farewell to Kenya’s Many Splendours

After a final breakfast on the lawn, game drive to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, where an Asilia driver and vehicle will transfer you to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
