Day 1: Arusha
Your 8-day Tanzania tour begins in Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s northern circuit. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted with warm hospitality and escorted to your lodge. Immerse yourself in the rich culture and vibrant atmosphere of Arusha. Later, embark on exciting safaris to explore the diverse wildlife and majestic landscapes of Tanzania. Conclude your day with memorable experiences that showcase the natural beauty and cultural heritage of this extraordinary destination. Overnight in Arusha.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
On day two, you’ll head to Tarangire National Park, known for its massive baobab trees and abundant wildlife. Keep your camera ready, as you might spot herds of elephants, zebras, and wildebeests. Tarangire is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 550 bird species calling it home. Dinner and overnight at Tarangire National Park.
Day 3: Tarangire to Ngorongoro
On your journey from Tarangire National Park to Ngorongoro Crater, you’ll have an enriching experience along the way. After breakfast, you’ll depart Tarangire and enjoy a scenic drive with a short break at Mto wa Mbu. Here, you can savor a delicious local lunch and immerse yourself in the vibrant culture with a visit to a Maasai boma.
Following this cultural experience, you’ll continue your drive to Ngorongoro. Upon arrival, you’ll settle in for a delightful dinner and an overnight stay, resting up for the adventures that await you in the crater the next day.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater and Ndutu
On this exciting day, you will start with a half-day game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, where you’ll have the chance to witness the incredible wildlife that thrives in this unique ecosystem.
After your morning adventure, you’ll drive to the Ndutu area, renowned for its spectacular calving season. This is a prime opportunity to capture unforgettable moments as you witness the birth of new life in the wild.
During this period, thousands of wildebeest and other herbivores give birth to their young in the short grass plains of Ndutu. This natural phenomenon attracts predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, creating a dynamic ecosystem where life and survival unfold before your eyes.
Witnessing the calving season is a breathtaking experience, as you’ll have the opportunity to see newborn calves taking their first steps and the dramatic interactions between predators and prey. It’s truly a photographer’s paradise and a highlight of any safari in Tanzania!
