The climb

A peaceful start
in the west.

The Londorossi Route starts on Kilimanjaro's quiet western side, with forest scenery and a gradual move into the high-altitude landscapes before joining the southern circuit.

From the Shira Plateau, ringed by ancient volcanic formations, you pass Lava Tower, climb the Barranco Wall and push for the summit from Barafu — a proven seven-day acclimatisation profile.
